Cambridge ICE / 9th–10th Grades

The Cambridge International Certificate of Education (ICE) is a two-year programme comprising seven IGCSE courses.

These courses represent the international version of the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), the national qualification awarded in the UK at the completion of compulsory education (age 16).

Vittoria is the only school in Turin authorized to offer the full ICE diploma, consisting of seven IGCSE subjects.

piano didattico

Curriculum structure

It includes the study of two modern languages (English and French or Spanish), two humanities subjects (19th-century history and geography), and a well-structured STEM area (mathematics and science), which also includes a computer science lab.

All students attend an additional course in Critical Thinking and Academic Writing in English, called Global Perspectives, which provides essential preparation for the two-year IB Diploma Programme.

The curriculum is enriched by a course in Italian language and culture, aligned with the national Italian curriculum. For Italian-speaking students, this provides a solid foundation in their mother tongue equivalent to that of traditional high schools. For international students, Italian is offered as a foreign language, giving them a valuable linguistic and cultural immersion experience.

Qualification awarded

The ICE Diploma is issued by the University of Cambridge International Education, with the following grading system:

  • Distinction – Grade A in five subjects and grade C or above in two subjects
  • Merit – Grade C or above in five subjects and grade F or above in two subjects
