European Linguistic High School in 5 years

Five-year Italian curriculum

The European Linguistic High School (Liceo Linguistico Europeo) follows a distinctive educational model: students share common-core subjects as a single class group while specializing in specific subject areas according to their chosen track. This approach promotes an effective integration of language studies, humanistic education, and scientific-technological preparation, allowing students to deepen selected subjects of particular interest.

Educational programme

The first two years provide a solid general education that builds on middle school studies and serves as an orientation phase. A flexible, modular approach—especially in specialized subjects—makes learning dynamic and engaging. During this period, students may switch from one track to another.

In the final three years, linguistic skills are further developed—both in the mother tongue and in the studied foreign languages—while more advanced and specialized subjects are introduced. The choice of specialization becomes central, requiring specific abilities and in-depth sectoral knowledge.

Study tracks

MODERN LINGUISTIC
Students study three foreign languages throughout the five-year (or four-year) programme, with a strong focus on the culture and civilization of different countries. The curriculum fosters an openness to international study and work opportunities and an ability to adapt to diverse cultural contexts.

LEGAL AND ECONOMIC
Students study two foreign languages while focusing on legal and economic disciplines. This path encourages civic responsibility and a broader connection with the world beyond school. It prepares students for university studies—particularly in law, business, and economics—both in Italy and abroad.

ARTISTIC AND LITERARY
Students study two foreign languages combined with an enhanced humanistic and artistic curriculum that values tradition while embracing modern creative languages and visual expression. Graduates can pursue higher studies in architecture, sustainability, cultural heritage, advertising, communication, and new media.
