Graduation 2026: Liceo Europeo and Vittoria International School

Three programmes – the four-year course, the five-year course at the Liceo Europeo and the IB Diploma Programme at VIS – came together in a single graduation ceremony. It was an occasion that brought together students, families and teachers to celebrate years of hard work, personal growth and memorable moments.

The ceremony opened with speeches from representative teachers and students who had distinguished themselves through their achievements.

“We’ve grown up, changed our minds, learnt to debate and to understand who we want to become. Thank you to our headteacher for not just being an all-powerful figure, as is often the case in other schools, but for being there for us and supporting us as individuals.” Rebecca d.C., top student at the Liceo Europeo.

“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the school for all the support it has given me and the other students, and to all the teachers who not only prepared each of us very effectively, but also shared with us moments of joy and happiness that I will cherish forever.” Giulio P., top IB student

«How do we preserve what matters - genuine, personal attention for every student - in an age of constant distraction and easy shortcuts? One of our answers has been to bring more support closer to your students.» Deborah Gutowitz, coordinatrice IB,

‘It isn’t important that you know when an author was born. What is important is that you understand the importance of living each day to the full. As Seneca says, we die every day, but every day you must also live it. Embrace *carpe diem* – seize the day. Live. And learn to recognise the beauty of the world, because you are the beauty of the world.’ – Prof. Pazzi

The parents’ class representatives then took the floor

‘Pillars fall, new stars are born. Your world isn’t easy, but it’s very, very interesting. My only piece of advice: hold on tight to the bonds you’ve forged. It’s a treasure that no one can take away from you.’

‘Always try to embark on things that stir your emotions, that make you feel alive, that truly represent who you are. And try to see them through to the end.’

This was followed by the headteacher presenting the diplomas

In the courtyard, the throwing of the balls: the gesture that brings this journey to a close and paves the way for what comes next.

And finally, the drinks reception. Time for one last hug, a photo and a promise to meet again soon.
