Student-athletes at the Vittoria High Schools: sport, hard work and passion beyond the classroom

Among the students at the Liceo Europeo and Vittoria International School are young men and women who face a double challenge every day: that of their studies and that of the race course, the snow and the platform.

We have already told you about brothers Francesco and Guido C., our fellow canoeing champions.

Here are some more stories of sporting dedication from students at the Vittoria High Schools:

Pietro C.

He has been competing in competitive karting for nine years. In 2025/2026, he took part in the Champions of the Future Academy Programme — six rounds around the world, sponsored by Toto Wolff (Mercedes F1) — and the FIA Karting World Cup at the Cremona Circuit. This year, he is making his debut in the KZ category, which features gear-driven karts.

“I love my sport very much, even though I have to make huge sacrifices: it keeps me away from my family, school and friends.”

Ginevra V.

She has been competing in skiing since she was three years old and is currently with the Bardonecchia Ski Club, coached by Mirko Verra. This year, she qualified for national competitions for the first time and made her international debut representing Italy.

“Vittoria is a school that allows you to pursue your passions, supporting and helping you in every way.”

Riccardo M.

He has been playing tennis since childhood and is ranked at national level. He usually plays around thirty matches a year; this year he has decided to prioritise his studies, but he will soon be back in action with his club in the Serie C Championship.

Emma B. (2 ICE)

She has been cheerleading since 2015, when she was four years old. Her achievements include third place at the 2023 European Championships in the Junior category with the Shiny Titans, and a gold medal in Group Stunt at the 2025 Elite Championships in Bottrop with the Power Titans. She will return to Bottrop in May and to Lisbon in June for the European Summit.

Diego G.

He plays rugby with consistency and commitment, bringing the same dedication to the pitch as he does to his studies.

Celeste O.

She is passionate about horse riding: in the saddle, she has learnt patience, precision and respect for the animal.
