LICEO EUROPEO

The Liceo Europeo at the Book Fair

Three projects, lots of applause and a starring role: Liceo Vittoria was also present at the 2025 Turin Book Fair! Thanks to the invitation received from the 'Amico Libro' Association, which recognised the excellent quality of the work realised by our students, our school had the honour of being the leader among the institutions taking part in the 'La scuola si racconta' initiative.

A major event in the Silver Room

The event took place on Thursday 9 May, in the Sala Argento of the International Book Fair, and was attended by several schools, mostly from Piedmont, but also one from Sicily. However, it was the Liceo Vittoria that introduced and led the presentation of the projects, arousing great interest and receiving numerous compliments for the originality and depth of the content.

The projects presented

Three works were presented, all developed by the first classes of our Liceo Europeo and selected for their relevance to the values of civic education, active citizenship and cultural engagement of young people.

  • "The Canticle of the Creatures, Bridge on the 2030 Agenda": a contemporary interpretation of the famous text by St. Francis, in which the students rewrote the concepts of sustainability and care for creation in a contemporary key, with a language close to Generation Z. A project that has already won an award at the Macroproblems 2025 conference in Rome.
  • "Words for being well at school": a collective reflection on school wellbeing, which gave rise to a small glossary of words describing the emotional, relational and cognitive needs of students.
  • "Dictionary of Gen Z slang": an ironic, but also linguistic and social work, exploring the terms most used by young people today. Descriptions of works of art were made and read by the students, recounting historical events through the use of Gen Z vocabulary. An activity that lends itself to being put into practice in other study disciplines as well. This project was particularly successful among those present, thanks to its topicality and the engaging communicative style adopted by the teens.

An appreciated participation

The students, led by the lecturers in charge, presented the projects with great professionalism and spirit of cooperation, alternating readings, stories and moments of discussion with the audience. Our Gen Z language glossary, in particular, received much applause and appreciation.

Special thanks

The Book Fair was a special opportunity to give voice to our students' ideas in a leading cultural context and to highlight the work done during the school year. Many thanks to the 'Amico Libro' Association for the invitation, to all the teachers involved in the event and, above all, to our students for the commitment, creativity and enthusiasm with which they represented our school.
