Art and memory: class 5A at the MAO
On Wednesday, 28 January, our students visited the MAO - Museum of Oriental Art in Turin to explore the exhibition "Chiharu Shiota – The Soul Trembles".
During the "Impossible Dictionary" workshop, the children created personal and poetic definitions, giving free rein to their creativity and imagination.
A particularly significant moment was the encounter with the Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) along the route: small golden cobblestones commemorating the victims of the Holocaust. It was an important opportunity to reflect on historical memory, in keeping with Holocaust Remembrance Day.
An outing that successfully combined art, history and civic reflection in a single educational experience.
