Towards hackher_ 2026: Vittoria students leading the way in change

The future of technology speaks with a female voice. A group of female students from VIS and Liceo Europeo will participate in the Hackher_Technology & Inclusion project, an international event sponsored by the European Parliament that will be held in Turin on 19 May.

Why hackher_?

It is not just a technological event, it is a manifesto for equality. Our students from classes 3B, 4ACD, 4B, 5ACD and 1IB will take part in a creative challenge at Fabbrica delle E to:

  • Challenge stereotypes: approach the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) by overcoming the idea that computer science is 'boys' stuff'.
  • Promote inclusion: participate in panels on the glass ceiling, the pay gap and gender equality.

A day of growth (and PCTO/CAS)

From 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., our girls will work in teams, with the support of teachers Bergadano, Genovese and Benzi. In addition to being an important orientation opportunity, the activity will be recognised as PCTO hours for high school and CAS for VIS students.

Save the Date: 19 May 2026 – Fabbrica delle E, Turin.

📌 Notes for participants:

  • PC required: no tablets or smartphones, please bring your laptop.
  • Lunch & Gadgets: will be provided by the organisers (please let us know if you have any food intolerances!).
  • Media: be prepared, there may be interviews with RAI and SkyTV!

No prior technical skills are required: all you need is the desire to get involved and break down some barriers. Talent has no gender!
