🏮Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival

A bridge between cultures at Vittoria Junior 🏮

On Tuesday 3 March, our primary school celebrated the end of the Chinese New Year festivities with a special event dedicated to the Lantern Festival.

A special menu and lots of learning

To honour this important occasion, the school canteen offered a menu dedicated to Chinese tradition, allowing all students to discover new flavours and immerse themselves in a culture rich in history.

During Global Perspectives lessons, our pupils took part in in-depth educational activities on Chinese culture, exploring the meaning of key customs and traditional festivals.

Our Chinese classmates shared their traditions with the whole class, presenting the menu and recounting their personal experiences related to this holiday.

A success in terms of inclusion

This initiative was much more than just a celebration: it was an opportunity for mutual enrichment, which highlighted the diversity present in our school community and promoted the values of inclusion, respect and intercultural openness that characterise our school.
