Towers, medieval games and a boat trip on the lake: the Year 4 school trip

On 6 May, Year 4 classes 4A and 4B from the primary school spent a day at Lake Maggiore, enjoying history, nature and a touch of magic.

The morning began at the Rocca di Angera: medieval walls, frescoed rooms and the stories of the Visconti and Borromeo families provided the backdrop for a workshop on medieval games. It was a chance to experience first-hand what is usually only studied in books.

Next, a visit to the Doll and Toy Museum, the largest of its kind in Europe. Then an afternoon in Arona, with a stroll through the town and a boat trip on Lake Maggiore.
