LICEO EUROPEO

European High School – four-year programme: the end-of-year party

We brought the school year at the Liceo Europeo – a four-year programme – to a close with a presentation of the most significant projects carried out by the classes. The presentations were delivered in Italian, English and, in some parts, also in French and Spanish. At the end of the presentations, a vote determined the winning projects.

Third place: Happiness for teenagers (Years 7 and 8)

The project that first-year students presented at the Book Fair. This time, it was the teachers who answered: the students asked them what it means, for an adult, to be happy. Among the responses gathered were the value of a good relationship with pupils, of a class that functions harmoniously and collaboratively, and the satisfaction of seeing the ‘seeds sown’ together with the students flourish.

Second place: Maths in everyday life (3B)

Primo posto: Poesia metafisica (3B)

The project involved writing original poems inspired by the English Metaphysical poets. Two pupils from the class recited their poems in English, winning the competition.

Honourable mention

Two projects developed with the support of artificial intelligence received an honourable mention: BCorp School (2B), focusing on sustainable clothing, and AI and Sonnet 18 (2B).

The school’s academic coordinator, Silvia Campagnoli, congratulated the students of the Liceo Europeo – Four-Year Programme with these words:

"It was with great pleasure that I watched the presentation of your projects, all of which were original, interesting, well-developed and, above all, excellently presented: not only in Italian but also in English and, in some parts, in French and Spanish. The enthusiasm, confidence, language skills, creativity and technological abilities you have demonstrated confirm the validity of the educational path you have undertaken. Well done, well done, well done! And a huge well done to the teachers who have encouraged, guided and supported you in developing your creativity, critical thinking and commitment, all of which have been excellently realised. Thank you to everyone, including your parents who have believed in our/your experimental programme. Happy Holidays!"
