Spirit Week: a week of creativity at Vittoria Junior

Last week, the Vittoria Cup kicked off with the annual Spirit Week, a week (this year just four days, 27–30 April) during which we, the pupils of Vittoria Junior Middle School, were able to dress up creatively according to various themes.

Day 1: dynamic duos

The theme for the first day was dynamic duos – iconic pairs, such as Mario and Luigi.

Many of our classmates dressed up beautifully, in creative and fun costumes. This day also coincided with the Spelling Bee, so the audience was more colourful than ever.

I dressed up too, except my partner FORGOT!!!

Day 2: time traveller

The theme for the second day was time travel: we had to dress as if we were living in a different era.

The costumes on this day were wonderful; in fact, many of us had coordinated our outfits, such as the hippies from Class 2A, of which I was a part.

Day 3: night at the museum

On the third day, the theme was museum exhibits: paintings, historical artefacts and the like.

The costumes on this day were among the most creative, such as Banksy’s ‘Flower Thrower’ and Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’.

4th and last day: pajama day!

Does that really need explaining? The day we students suggested, almost unanimously, is obviously the one where we can go to school in our pyjamas.

That was the day when the most pupils actually got dressed – almost all of them, in fact!

What’s more, it’s also the day I’m writing this article, so I’m currently in my pyjamas (BE JEALOUS!).

That’s all from the Junior newsletter editorial team. Over and out – see you next time with more fun news!
