When was your passion for philosophy born?
In high school, specifically around 4th or 5th grade. That's where you start to realise what you want to do when you grow up.
Recently, our middle school teacher Stefano Tancredi published two books on philosophy together with Matteo Saudino and Lucilla Moliterno.
Prima Filosofare is an in-depth and modern school manual, while Star Wars e la Filosofia is a compelling essay that unites George Lucas' universe with Philosophy.
What unites Darth Vader and the Nietzschean Otherworld? And Princess Leia and revolutionary feminism? How is it possible to juxtapose the abominable Emperor Palpatine with Plato's thought?
Here is the magazine's interview with our young professor.

Prima Filosofare is a philosophy textbook designed and reasoned for high school students. We have tried to distinguish it from other textbooks by using language that is as inclusive as possible (e.g. using the term human being, individual, person). It also provides robust teaching and learning support with elements such as exercises and guides.
It is a book with a different tone than the manual, born out of a common passion with the other authors for the Star Wars galaxy, which has always been steeped in philosophy. The book is divided into nine chapters, as many as there are films in the saga. Each one analyses a character and the philosophers who inspired him.
It was a good experience, he is very kind and helpful. He was my philosophy teacher in high school! Working in a team can be tiring, but in the end we were satisfied with the result.
Absolutely, I think it is one of the fundamental disciplines to understand and know how to cement the contemporary, it is the subject that helps most to develop critical thinking, so as not to live today's reality naively and mechanically.
Philosophy is fundamental to growing up properly, thanks to its ability to stimulate critical thinking and reasoning,
A philosopher is someone who questions today, asks himself questions and tries to broaden his thinking around them. If he succeeds in finding answers well, otherwise he tries to give tools so that we never take anything for granted. This is the strength of philosophy: to question, to question, to seek an alternative for a better world.
