A Strasbourg to remember: educational trip through European institutions, history and culture

From 27 to 30 April 2025, the third grade students took part in a school trip to beautiful Strasbourg (France), the beating heart of the European institutions. Accompanied by their teachers, the students combined culture, European citizenship and leisure time in a trip designed to enrich their personal and school education.

On the way we stopped in Basel, for a short tour of the Swiss city before reaching Strasbourg in the late afternoon. After checking into the Hilton hotel and a restorative dinner, the guys got ready for the busy days ahead.

Monday 28 April was entirely dedicated to discovering the European institutions: the European Parliament and the Council of Europe.

Two very engaging guided tours allowed the students to enter the places where fundamental decisions for the future of the European Union are taken.

Tuesday 29 was the time for discovering the city: a guided tour of the old town, the Notre-Dame cathedral, free time for shopping and an atmospheric boat tour through the city's canals allowed us to appreciate the historical and architectural soul of Strasbourg. The day ended with a typical dinner in one of the city's historic restaurants.

On the way back we visited Bern, the capital of Switzerland. After a guided walk through the centre, the group returned to Turin, bringing with them many memories, new awareness and the satisfaction of having had an all-round educational experience.
