Autumn in childhood: learning from nature

Autumn has arrived and with it new insights into our preschool sections. The leaves, colours and scents of the season become tools for observation, creativity and learning.

Children experience activities every day that combine play and knowledge:

Outdoor and classroom workshops

The children experience daily activities that combine play and knowledge:

  • Science and natural art - They observe changes in nature, the colours of leaves and the elements of the forest such as mushrooms and chestnuts.
  • Playful mathematics - They collect, sort and count leaves and acorns, exercising logical thinking.
  • Fine motor skills - They shape salt dough, glue natural materials and peel chestnuts, improving precision and coordination.

Trip to the Giardini Reali

To complete the tour, the classes visited the Giardini Reali, transformed for the occasion into a large outdoor classroom.

  • 3 years - Little artists: collecting natural elements and creating an autumn picture.
  • 4 years - Friends of trees: exploration of barks and trunks to discover the diversity of the plant world.
  • 5 years - Colour hunters: search for leaves of various shades to build a large collective tree.
